Personal Information We Collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. As you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

“Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.

“Log files” track actions occurring on the Site and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

“Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

When you make a purchase, register for an account, or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about both Device Information and Order Information.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site, including processing your payment information, arranging for delivery of digital products, and providing you with invoices and order confirmations. We also use this Order Information to communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services when in line with the preferences you have shared with us.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site. This includes generating analytics about how our visitors browse and interact with the Site and assessing the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns.

Payment Processing

We use Stripe as our primary payment processor for membership purchases, course enrollments, and marketplace transactions made through the Site. When you make a payment through the Site, your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe’s secure servers. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. You can read more about how Stripe uses your Personal Information in Stripe’s privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.

We may also offer Klarna as a payment option for certain purchases. If you choose to pay using Klarna, certain personal information — including your name, email address, billing address, and order details — will be shared with Klarna to process your transaction. Klarna processes this data in accordance with its own privacy policy, which you can review at https://cdn.klarna.com/1.0/shared/content/legal/terms/0/en_us/privacy.

The personal information shared with Stripe and Klarna is limited to what is necessary to complete and verify your transaction, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable laws. We retain transaction records (including the date, amount, and description of each transaction, as well as partial payment identifiers such as the last four digits of a card number) for accounting, tax compliance, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention purposes.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information as described above. We use WooCommerce to power our online marketplace. We use Google Analytics to help us understand how our visitors use the Site — you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information at https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. You can opt out of Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)

The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a “device”) by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.

First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting. A third-party cookie is frequently used in behavioral advertising and analytics and is created by a domain other than the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies, tags, pixels, beacons and other similar technologies (collectively, “Tags”) may be placed on the Website to monitor interaction with advertising content and to target and optimize advertising. Each internet browser has functionality so that you can block both first and third-party cookies and clear your browser’s cache. The “help” feature of the menu bar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to receive notification of new cookies, how to disable existing cookies and how to clear your browser’s cache. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, you can consult the information at All About Cookies.

Without cookies you may not be able to take full advantage of the Website content and features. Please note that rejecting cookies does not mean that you will no longer see ads when you visit our Site. In the event you opt-out, you will still see non-personalized advertisements on the Website.

The Website collects the following data using a cookie when serving personalized ads: IP Address, Operating System type, Operating System version, Device Type, Language of the website, Web browser type, and Email (in hashed form).

Mediavine Partners (companies listed below with whom Mediavine shares data) may also use this data to link to other end user information the partner has independently collected to deliver targeted advertisements. Mediavine Partners may also separately collect data about end users from other sources, such as advertising IDs or pixels, and link that data to data collected from Mediavine publishers in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including devices, browsers and apps. This data includes usage data, cookie information, device information, information about interactions between users and advertisements and websites, geolocation data, traffic data, and information about a visitor’s referral source to a particular website. Mediavine Partners may also create unique IDs to create audience segments, which are used to provide targeted advertising.

If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices to opt-in or opt-out of this data collection, please visit the National Advertising Initiative opt out page. You may also visit the Digital Advertising Alliance website and the Network Advertising Initiative website to learn more information about interest-based advertising. You may download the AppChoices app at the Digital Advertising Alliance’s AppChoices app to opt out in connection with mobile apps, or use the platform controls on your mobile device to opt out.

Continuing Education Records

Think Sensory offers professional development and self-paced learning activities, including continuing education (CE) courses that may be eligible for credit through various professional credentialing organizations. When you enroll in or complete a course or professional development activity through our Site, we collect and retain records related to your participation. These records may include your name, contact information, course title, course type, delivery format, start and completion dates, credits or contact hours awarded (if applicable), instructor name(s) and credentials, assessment or quiz scores (if applicable), and a copy of your certificate of completion (if applicable).

For courses and activities that carry credit from a professional credentialing organization, Think Sensory is required to retain your participation records for a minimum of 7 years from the date of completion. These records are exempt from standard data deletion requests for the duration of the 7-year retention period. If you submit a data deletion request and you have records on file for a credited course, we will notify you in writing that those specific records cannot be deleted until the retention period has elapsed, and we will provide you with the applicable retention end date.

For courses and activities that do not carry credit from a professional credentialing organization, your participation records may be deleted upon request in accordance with the general data deletion process described in this Privacy Policy.

All course participation records are stored separately from general membership data in a secure, access-controlled environment. Access to these records is restricted to authorized personnel only. Course participation records will not be shared with any third party without your prior written consent, except where required for compliance reviews by applicable credentialing organizations.

This section applies to courses and professional development activities offered through the Think Sensory platform. It does not apply to summits, free webinars, or other events that are not structured as formal courses or CE activities.

You will be informed at the time of enrollment whether a course carries credit from a credentialing organization and whether the 7-year retention requirement applies. By completing a credited activity, you acknowledge that your participation records will be retained for a minimum of 7 years regardless of membership status or general data deletion requests.

For more information about how we handle course participation data, you may contact us at support@thinksensory.com.

Data Retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

As described in the Continuing Education Records section above, CE learner records are retained for a minimum of 7 years from the date of completion in accordance with AOTA Approved Provider Program requirements, regardless of any general data deletion requests.

Transaction records related to payment processing are retained as necessary for accounting, tax compliance, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention purposes.
