About our Rebrand from ClimbRx to Think Sensory
Hey everyone,
I wanted to take a minute to share something really big with you.
If you’ve been part of the ClimbRx community, you’ve probably noticed things have been… evolving. Over the past two years, we’ve been figuring out who we are. What we stand for. What kind of platform we actually want to build.
And after running the Sensory Journey Summit and connecting with so many of you – therapists, families, educators – we feel like we’ve finally found it.
So here it is: ClimbRx is becoming Think Sensory.
Same core team. Same mission. Same commitment to supporting neurodivergent kids and the people who care for them. Just a name that better reflects who we’ve become.
Let me tell you why we chose it.
Why “Think”
The word THINK represents everything we believe in.
It stands for:
- Tools and Teaching that are
- Human-Centered
- Inclusive
- Neurodiversity-Affirming
- Knowledge-based
These aren’t just buzzwords to us. They’re the foundation of everything we create. Every course, every resource, every piece of content we put out comes back to these values.
Human-centered means we start with the person, not the behavior. Inclusive means everyone belongs here – not just certain kinds of learners or certain kinds of families. Neurodiversity-affirming means we see differences as differences, not deficits. And knowledge-based means we ground what we do in evidence, not trends.
Why the Pause Symbol
You’ve probably noticed our new logo has a pause symbol in it – those two parallel vertical lines.
This was really intentional.
We believe pausing is foundational to everything neuroaffirming. Pause before responding. Pause to attune. Pause to let the nervous system settle. Pause to rest – because you can’t pour from an empty cup, and burnout helps no one.
When we pause, we create space to be curious. To wonder what a child’s body might need instead of telling them what it needs. To ask questions instead of making assumptions.
This connects directly to how sensory processing actually works. Pausing gives the nervous system time to process input before we pile on more. It shows respect for how bodies and brains actually function – not how we wish they would function.
Pausing is countercultural: we live in a world that pushes fast-forward on everything. Quick fixes. Rapid results. Get the kid to comply, get them to “behave,” move on to the next thing.
Our pause symbol is a quiet rebellion against that. We all need to slow down, observe, wait, attune, and rest more.
The two lines in the pause symbol also represent something else: two people, side by side. Adult and child. Therapist and client. Educator and student.
Support that is beside, not top-down.
That’s what co-regulation looks like. That’s what connection looks like. And that’s what we’re building here.
Our Mission
We’re here to deliver neuroaffirming professional development for therapists and professionals, and affordable, accessible support and connection for families and educators supporting neurodivergent kids.
Our vision hasn’t changed: we want to change the way the world supports neurodivergent kids – through education, play, connection, and belonging.
We still believe that kids do well when they can. We still believe that connection comes before correction. We still believe that the adults in a child’s life deserve support too – real support, not judgment.
What’s Coming Next
We’re not just changing our name. We’re growing into it.
Here’s what’s on the horizon:
Continuing Education Courses – We’re adding new CE courses over the next few weeks, with more in development. These will be the more in-depth professional development content for therapists and other professionals.
Affordable Parent and Educator Courses – We’re also developing a really affordable, low-cost self-paced course specifically for parents and educators. Because professional-level prices shouldn’t be the barrier to understanding your own kid.
AOTA Approval – We’re working toward our AOTA approval for occupational therapy continuing education, and then we’ll be expanding to cover speech therapy, physical therapy, and social work.
This is just the beginning.
Same Team, New Name
This is still the same team that’s been building this community with you from the very start.
Our therapist co-founders and content creators are still here. The community you’ve been part of is still here, although moved to a new interface (so come say Hi!).
We’re just growing into a name that actually fits who we’ve become.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Seriously. We wouldn’t be here without you.
If you have questions, thoughts, or just want to say hi – you know where to find us.
With gratitude,
Nicole Day
President, Think Sensory
